The Muppets Launch New Site on Disney XD

The Muppets launched their brand-new website on Friday, full with tons of new videos and much more! The official website, located at Muppets.com, has gotten a major overhaul featuring brand-new Muppet videos.

The site, part of the Disney XD network, is full of great Muppet material and mayhem. There is already more than 15-minutes of brand-new video content, plus you can enjoy clips from the Muppet Show DVDs, the Muppets’ New Years party and even listen to clips from the recent Muppet albums. There are photos, polls, gags and even games. If you register and log-in with an XD account you can get even more connected with the site – creating your own playlists, storing things to your favorites, chatting with others, and even playing the multi-player Muppet games against other people.

And there is still more to come – Disney is planning to continue to add content and clips to the site. If fact, only 3 of the 7 "channels" are currently open – "The Muppets' Stage", "Kermit's Pad", and "Miss Piggy's Dressing Room" are up and running. New content will continue to be added to the existing channels, plus Fozzie, Gonzo, Pepe, and Animal are planning to have their own channels launch in the future as well.

So what are you waiting for? You can see Gonzo tap-dance on tapioca pudding and thumbtacks, meet Pepe's talking popsicle-stick, listen to Fozzie's stand-up, enjoy Rizzo and Pepe bouncing around on pogo sticks, watch Miss Piggy's Aerobic workout video, and so more! Go check out all the fun on this new, exciting and Muppetational website right now!

Go to Muppet.com Now!

Would be nice if it was available to users outside of the United States though... (sigh...)

Is it not up yet? I keep searching for a Muppet icon or Muppet content and am going in circles. I'm a multimedia designer by occupation and I'm having trouble figuring it out. Does this go live Monday or later in the week?

I am very excited!

Found it. Would it kill 'em to put a Kermit icon on the main page? Without my Muppet fanaticism I would have missed it. Hope people see this! The Pepe segments are the best! Very pleased.

Opinions about the videos:
Interesting....Can't say I care for how any of the Muppets look in that opening and it's a bit to um what's the word childish? Maybe not that but I don't know Fozzie would be to shy to dance and some how mess it all up, Kermit would be standing there looking at them like they're crazy, and Gonzo would be dancing but trying to get Kermit to dance in my opinion.
First Fozzie clip was cute but his ears are odd..but doesn't look to bad and the voice is one of the better wrong sounding muppets. ;)
First Gonzo Clip is great he's going back to his weirdo roots again! And that version of him..ummm I'm not sure what's wrong with him but he looks sick or like he hasn't been eating.
Pepe looks great of course that haven't changed him a bit, even though I do miss the hoodie look.
hahahah seriously Pepe's video is by far the best and his pop sickle friend reminds me of Stick Stickly from Nickelodeon back in the day.
Awww Pepe and Rizzo are such a good Team.
Hmm these new years gone wild videos are really cute shame they didn't use them on anything...
Wow! It's soooooooooooo nice to see Bunsen Honeydew!!
hahahaa @ Pepe Ryan Sea chest! lmao!

Opinions about the site it's self:
Not as cool as the last site but I like how it seems not so much like a ghost town now.
The design is new and nice and I see they snuck Rubber Ducky in there.
The Do Not Touch button is very cute also cute love the jokes! Fozzie & Gonzo are quite classic acting in these if you ask me. & while I'm not a fan of modern complete jerk Piggy that comment about wearing that outfit on the Internet was quite funny.
Ugh as usual ruined by modern Kermit..that wasn't even funny it was corny and he looked like he was having a stroke...Man I am so just not a fan of Steve's Kermit.
Heh Animal was cute but a bit looks as if he's in need of a hair cut can't say I mind the extra shaggy Animal though, it's better than balding Animal.
Well those are fun regardless of Kermit the Forg...I hope they keep updating this site with more clips and characters!
Over all it's pretty need I sure hope it keeps growing though. :)

Other Things: Kermit's Channel was very cute I actually enjoyed how he acted even though he would have screamed at Fozzie when he put spit on him like that lol. hahahaa I enjoyed Kermit's lockjaw.
Piggy's Channel is very cute also I'd work out to a Miss Piggy workout video any day hahahaha
lol It's quite sad that I now enjoy seeing the new Kermit being abused...

Will you stop calling the frog the "New Kermit"? Steve is doing the best he can and besides, Jim choosed him to take over the role and I don't doubt his choice. At least I hope that part was true.

He is the new Kermit, It's not the old Kermit because old Kermit is Jim. Which I don't think it's fair to even start to compair steve to Jim.
He is being himself with Kermit not being kermit with kermit.
And no I will not stop my opinions, because they aren't awlays harsh some times Steve is really good other times very bad.
Take for example how he does the muppet newsman on the new site I think thats almost pretty darn good way better than Brian Henson take on the character. :)

I don't mind hip-hopping Kermit. I actually like Steve's Kermit and he always seems very Kermit-ish to me. But I wouldn't blame Steve for any shift in Kermie's characterization. Look at Gonzo, he's had the same performer (Dave Goelz) since day one, yet Gonzo in the 1970s, the Gonzo of the '80s and the Gonzo of today are very different in personality and tone. Characters (like people) evolve, grow and change over time. Steve's Kermit is still Kermit. He may not be exactly like he was way back in the 1970s (but name one person who is exactly like they were 30 years ago), even Jim Henson's portrayal of Kermit in the late-80s (and early-1990) was very different from the character in early Muppet Show days.

Plus anyway, Steve’s Kermit is not the "new Kermit". As Kermit changed for the worst way back in 1960s when Jim started calling him a frog. They added that stupid pointy collar and flippers to the puppet. Why? The puppet became so ugly. He is no longer the real Kermit, the classic Kermit... because the real Kermit (to me anyway) isn't a frog. Why do they keep messing with stuff that ain't broken?...why did the character change? I want everything to be exactly like it was when it was created. I want the character to be frozen and stale. No evolution in personality over time!

The mess with things that aren't broken because they want to make them hip and trendy by making them play out to a strong market which is the biggest right now the hiphop and pop music market.
The muppets are timeless to me and when you start doing things like that to them they lose something.
When I say Steve's Kermit is the new Kermit I mean it because he will never be Jim and he isn't.
I try not to compaire and contrast but it's soooo hard not to.
I know many others who can do a better job and no I'm not talking about myself.
It's fine that Jim thought Steve was good enough for Kermit and maybe he is, but personally I still think he has allot of growing to do as a performer.
I saw Kermit grow just like you said but now it feels as if I'm watching him go through puberity all over again.

I am a supporter of Steve's Kermit. I admit cringing at his "hip hop" comment as I did with his, "Way to get down with your funky selves" comment in Muppets From Space. It's a small blip that I can overlook. Non
-fan friends of mine still don't like Kermit's voice and don't understand it's about overall performance. It is key that Kermit doesn't evolve away from Jim too much. He's seemed to snap back to his roots in recent years.

I enjoyed his Muppet Newsman. I haven't found that character funny since Jim performed him. If that is Steve - good for him because I loved it!

Any performance can be dissected. I look at this as Muppet improv. The webcam bit, while likely scripted, seemed fresh and true to the characters. I am thankful Disney hasn’t lobotomized the Muppets. I think the mouse has finally figured them out...enough.

I agree with Nic kramer.

Kermit is Kermit no matter who is performing him.

Sheesh! First there was a person who think the Street went downhill after Matt Robinson left the show and now this. Next I suppose someone prefers Ocsar to be orange instead green!

I think that change was a good idea. Besides, I don't think you weren't even alive when Kermit finally became a frog!

I love how you guys are so mad over one single opinion of a long time fan.
And you know I don't intend to stop being one or at least trying.
There is nothing at all wrong with saying Steve still needs a bit of work making Kermit happen in both his acting and performance.
If some one can't take a bit of constructive cristism then they shouldn't be in the bizz.
You can think all you want, I grew up as these characters where on the air and as they aged so did I.
It's just annoying seeing them go through it again.
I'm just saying how I feel and there is absolutly nothing wrong with that.
And no I don't think Oscar should go back to that horrid bleached look again. That wen't out with the 90's anyways. ;)
This should be a happy about this site not a time to fight about my opinions of the muppets modern performers. :)
