Dark Crystal Action Figure Coming from NECA (Plus More Labyrinth)

Fans of "The Dark Crystal" will be excited to hear that they will soon be able to own their very own Skesis action figure! NECA has announced plans to release an action figure of SkekSil, the Skesis chamberlain, under their "Cult Classics" banner. The figure is expected to be released later this year.

Fans of Jim Henson's "Labyrinth" may be familiar with NECA's work; the company released two Jareth the Goblin King figures last year – a 7-inch action figure in April and a 12-inch talking figure in September. The company has been planning a third "Labyrinth" release, and the latest "Labyrinth" action figures have finally arrived. The highly-anticipated Jareth and Hoggle box set was released this week at Toy Fair in New York and the initial shipments should be hitting stores within the next month – you can already pre-order the set from several online retailers.

I will be sure to keep you all posted as more news on these exciting "The Dark Crystal" and "Labyrinth" action figures as things develop.

I am very happy that Hoggle is finally coming out and that there will actually be real and affordable Dark Crystal figures (that are actually figures).

I still don't understand that if NECA can bring these fantastic products to market - regularly carded and reasonably priced - what the deal with MINDstyle's blind-boxing Fraggles and $85-150 priced Dark Crystal figures. I know for a fact the Jareth figures were big sellers in comic shops! Fraggles should easily sell-through using above board methods. And why they didn't begin with making Skeksis figures in their Dark Crystal assortment is a mystery to me.

I digress...I've wanted a Skeksis figure for years and now that will be a reality! I hope they make Fizgig, Ludo, goblins and more of Henson's Labyrinth and Crystal fantasy creatures. Applause to NECA for getting the fans exactly what we want in a legitimate way and at a realistic price.

Looks like they stuffed a muppet in Bowie's tights just in the movie.

You know it's funny you bring that up, Everyone always says look a bowies buldge, but I don't see it.
Or atleast it doesn't even look that big to make some one go wow look at that they must of stuff a muppet in there. lmao
Ok back on subject I'm really glad we're getting more and more of Jim's creations as action figures.

Now if we only get some figures of our friends from the street.

I agree Nic,
But I'd want them to atleast be close to the quality that these neca figure are or even palisades muppets.
It'd be great if Neca took on Sesame Street.

I have heard it said that the Sesame license is more expensive, but I think those would sell easily. I still don't get why such Sesame action figures haven't been made. Well, Palisades tried with Grover and would have done a remarkable job. Another company should take note of that.

Well thank god! I've been waiting for NECA to release the Jareth/Hoggle figures for ever!

It's weird though, that these figures have been talked-about for months now, and NECA has yet to post about them on their website.

Still, I'm uber excited about finally getting my Jareth figure, the fact that the're starting to do Dark Crystal figures is just and added bonus!

That's why I love NECA, they never underestimate the selling power of lesser known movies/liscenses

Wow, between these, The Princess Bride figures, and the TMNT Comic figures, I'm in love with NECA

I'm thrilled to hear that more figures will be coming out! My only problem is that I wish the sold Hoggle separately. I love Jareth as a character, but quite frankly, his figure scares the daylights out of me! I hope they decide to do this at a later point because I just can't see spending money on a figure I really don't like. Well, thats just my two cents!
