"Dark Crystal" and "Labyrinth" Revisited with New DVDs

Brian Froud's official website reports that Froud participated in recording full-length audio commentary in February for brand-new DVD editions of "The Dark Crystal" and "Labyrinth". Froud served as creature and conceptual designer for both Henson fantasy films, and is greatly responsible for the look, tone and feel of the characters and worlds seen in the Dark Crystal and the Labyrinth.

Not much is known about these DVDs at this point, aside from these new audio commentary tracks (and some stray rumors of the films recently undergoing some image and sound restoration). However it has been confirmed that these new fully-loaded DVDs are set to be released by Sony Home Entertainment later this year. So start saving up now so you can scoop up these exciting new DVD releases as soon as they hit store shelves.
