Fraggle Rock Season Four DVD Release Date

As previously announced, The Jim Henson Company and HIT Entertainment are planning to release the fourth season of "Fraggle Rock" on DVD later this fall. The deluxe box set will include the final 24 episode of the series along with an impressive batch of all-new bonus features.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of "Fraggle Rock - Complete Fourth Season". While the official announcement is still a few months away, a representative from HIT Entertainment has informed me that the fourth season of Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock is set to hit stores on October 28, 2008.

Details on the bonus features are not available at this time; however a new batch of interviews and other behind the scenes content is being worked on for the set. An official announcement with all the disc features and details is planned for released sometime this summer. Stay tuned and I'll keep you informed as more details on this highly-anticipated box set continue to surface.

I'm glad the sale of the HIT company and catalog from Fox to Lionsgate hasn't changed these Fraggle releases. We will get the uniform set. Rumored delays with the action figures to coincide with the theatrical film (years away) led me to suspect that could be the case with season four and the coffee table book due out this year. Glad that appears to be on. I still don't understand the lack of retailer support with the Fraggles? They *do* sell and quite well too.

I really hope they include The (complete) Fraggles Look For Jobs...not just clips...

I hope the box design stays the same and doesn't change because of the switch to fox!

Season 1 was not distrubuted by FOX. The box didn't change design from season 1 to season 2, so why change now?

Lionsgate (like FOX) is basically just helping with the shipping, stocking, marketing, and promotion of the product. HIT is still producing the product (package and all) and then handing the reigns over to the distributer to help sell it and get it into consumers hands. Any change in package would not be a result of this deal.
