I did this over at my site too. It still saddens me that Jim Henson is gone. His work touched my life as a child and continues to thrill and inspire me today. His was a great loss.

A true visionary who had more talent in his right hand than most people do in their entire body. Sadly missed indeed.

After watching a special Jim Henson did about all the behind-the-scenes Muppet magic, I decided that making movies was what I wanted to do with my life. Needless to say, that show had a profound effect on the rest of my life.

And I still cry at the end of Muppet Family Christmas.

I would like to start a petition for Muppet Family Christmas to be re-released on DVD. I remember growing up with this movie and watching it every Christmas. It's a classic, featuring Jim himself, and all the Muppet characters. The Fraggle Rock petition worked so well, that I am sure another petition would help! Thoughts?
